Leicester have moved into a play-off spot after a 2-0 win over Blackpool on Tuesday evening.
It was Blackpool who made most of the early running with on-loan Liverpool star Jonjo Shelvey causing the Leicester defence problems.
Leicester grew into the half, however, and almost took the lead after 15 minutes when Jermaine Beckford found himself through on goal, but he fired just wide.
The home side did eventually take the lead after 35 minutes courtesy of Andy King when Richie Wellens found the midfielder inside the area.
It was almost two for Leicester three minutes into the second half but Beckford's long-range effort was saved by the diving Matt Gilks.
Blackpool desperately pressed for the equaliser in the latter stages with Gary Taylor-Fletcher twice going close but Leicester added a second courtesy of Neil Danns after 82 minutes to secure all three points.
Meanwhile, Leicester travel to Hull on Saturday while Blackpool host Reading.
