Nigel Pearson praises high-flying Leicester City

Nigel Pearson praises his Leicester City side's performance following their victory at St Andrew's Stadium.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has praised his side's performance following a 2-1 victory against Birmingham City at St Andrew's Stadium.

The win takes the Foxes' winning streak to eight league games, pushing the club 11 points clear of third-placed Burnley.

Speaking to the club's official site following the victory, Pearson said: "The first half was the best 45 minutes we've produced all season. We could've scored more but don't pick holes in that display. It was outstanding.

"We managed the conditions well and played with confidence. I didn't mention [our winning run] but the players were aware of it. They deserve the credit."

Leicester will be looking to further strengthen their grip on the top when they travel to Bournemouth on the weekend.
