Huddersfield Town's Lee Clark is Ken Bates's number one choice to replace Simon Grayson as Leeds United manager, according to BBC Sport.
Following Grayson's sacking yesterday, Neil Warnock was made the early favourite for the Yorkshire job, with names like Steve Bruce and Dave Jones also linked with the role.
However, Terriers boss Clark is reportedly the preferred choice of the Leeds board.
"Hearing from those who should know that Ken Bates's preferred choice as new manager of Leeds United is Huddersfield's Lee Clark, and not Warnock," said BBC Sport journalist Dan Roan on Twitter.
