Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao has insisted that he did not speak to a Senegalese website about reported interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid in this summer's transfer window.
On Thursday afternoon, Senegalese outlet Galsenfoot ran an interview which quoted Diao as saying that both Barcelona and Real Madrid wanted to sign him for the 2016-17 campaign.
The 21-year-old, however, has denied giving any interview relating to his future.
"I'd just like to say I'm on holiday, and I haven't given any interview. Therefore I deny my alleged statements of interest from other clubs. Those questions are for my club, Lazio, and my agent," Keita wrote on Twitter.
"I'd just ask you not to believe destabilising rumours if you haven't received confirmation from me, my club or my staff."
Keita has scored 10 times in 77 league appearances for Lazio.
