Luka Modric has revealed that it is his "desire" to end his professional career at Real Madrid.
The Croatian international moved to the Bernabeu from Tottenham Hotspur in 2012 and has already racked up 173 appearances for the Spanish giants in all competitions.
As it stands, the 30-year-old's deal with Real Madrid will expire in 2018, but the midfielder has claimed that he would sign a lifetime contract with the Madrid giants.
"That's my desire, although there are not many players that retire here. Why not? I see it as possible, but we will see what happens in the future. But yes, it's my desire," Modric told Marca.
"Right now I am only thinking about Real Madrid, I have the desire to be here as long as possible. I do not think about other clubs, [or] other leagues."
Modric will represent Croatia at the European Championships this summer.
