Inter Milan choose to start Antonio Cassano for the visit to his former club Sampdoria in Serie A.

Inter Milan boss Andrea Stramaccioni has decided to start Antonio Cassano against his old club Sampdoria in Genoa this evening.

Cassano continues in attack alongside Rodrigo Palacio, with Fredy Guarin providing support from midfield.

Esteban Cambiasso misses out through suspension after receiving a straight red card in the 2-1 defeat to Juventus last Saturday.

Zdravko Kuzmanovic comes in for Cambiasso while Juan Jesus returns from a ban to start in central defence.

Sampdoria are without Eder and Andrea Costa so Nicola Sansone gets the nod to partner Mauro Icardi in attack.

Sampdoria: Romero, Mustafi, Palombo, Gastaldello, De Silvestri, Poli, Krsticic, Obiang, Estigarribia, Sansone, Icardi

Inter: Handanovic, Zanetti, Ranocchia, Juan Jesus, Pereira, Gargano, Kovacic, Kuzmanovic, Guarin, Palacio, Cassano
