Hull City cool Gary Hooper interest

Hull City manager Steve Bruce reveals that the Premier League club is unlikely to make a fresh bid for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has claimed that the club is unlikely to make a new offer for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

The Tigers failed with a reported £4.5m bid for the 25-year-old last month.

"We had a bid for him rejected and I can't see there being any change in that," Bruce is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We've got other irons in the fire and we hope that we can get one or two strikers in before the start of the season."

Hooper has also been linked with Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers.
