Team News: Hibernian make four changes for Kilmarnock clash

Hibernian have Paul Heffernan back from injury and Michael Nelson from suspension as they face Kilmarnock with both sides looking to avoid a relegation playoff.

Hibernian boss Terry Butcher has made four changes from the side that lost to Ross County in midweek as the Edinburgh club look to avoid a relegation playoff by beating fellow struggler Kilmarnock.

Among the changes, Michael Nelson is back in defence for the hosts and striker Paul Heffernan returns from injury to face his old club, who only need a draw at Easter Road to survive.

However, midfielder Kevin Thomson has failed to shake off a thigh strain in time to be selected.

Killie striker Kris Boyd is deemed fit to play at Easter Road, but James Fowler's red card against St Mirren on Wednesday means that he sits out this encounter.

Hibs, who have won just once in 18 top-flight outings, must win this game to confirm their place in the Scottish Premiership next year.

Hibernian: Williams, Maybury, Nelson, Forster, McGivern, Watmore, Robertson, Stanton, Craig, Collins, Heffernan

Kilmarnock: Samson, Tesselaar, Irvine, Nicholson, Boyd, Barbour, McKenzie, Eremenko, Maksimenko, Pascali, Ashcroft
