Neil Lennon's men have not lost in six matches.

Hibernian defender Darren McGregor feels they should take confidence from their unbeaten run ahead of Saturday's Edinburgh derby.

Head coach Neil Lennon was unhappy with many of his players after last Saturday's home draw with Livingston but McGregor's late equaliser at Ibrox on Wednesday made it six games unbeaten.

Hibs have beaten Celtic and drawn twice with Rangers during the run, and McGregor thought the latest point was a big moment for the team as well as himself – his unconvincing header had been immediately returned to set Alfredo Morelos free for the opener.

McGregor said: "Losing the goal in the manner we did was disappointing, but I thought we stuck to our task.

"They are a quality side and it is an intimidating place. So to come back and score in the last five minutes was big, not just for myself but the team to come away with a point.

"That's three times we've played the Old Firm in the last week and haven't been beaten, that's the positive we can take from it."

McGregor felt Hibs had responded well to Lennon's criticism after their Livingston draw.

"We got a reaction," he said. "At the best of times, coming to Ibrox is difficult. Losing a goal it shows character, we stuck to the task.

"I thought we were actually better in the second half than the first and it's a really good point. I think it is the least we deserved. Rangers had their chances but we had our chances as well. On reflection a point is probably a good result."
