Hearts have made their first signing of the summer by securing the services of Polish defender Blazej Augustyn.
The 27-year-old was most recently with Gornik Zabrze in his homeland and has also played for Bolton Wanderers, Legia Warsaw, Rimini, Catania and Vicenza.
Augustyn will put pen to paper at Tynecastle once international clearance arrives, although the length of his contract is currently undisclosed.
The centre-back is expected to replace outgoing Hearts captain Danny Wilson, who has decided to leave the Scottish Championship title winners.
