Sam Collins in charge of Hartlepool with Ronnie Moore away

Hartlepool United confirm that Sam Collins will lead the team while Ronnie Moore tends to his ill daughter.

Hartlepool United have confirmed that Sam Collins will be in charge of the team while Ronnie Moore is away from the club.

Moore missed Tuesday's League Cup victory over Fleetwood Town because he has flown out to Spain to be with his daughter, who has fallen ill with pneumonia while on holiday.

In a statement on the club website, Hartlepool said: "There has been some improvement in Charlotte's condition over the last 24 hours but the club will continue to support Ronnie as he takes as much time as necessary to be with her and the rest of his family."

Hartlepool's next game is away at York City in League Two on Saturday.
