Ghana seal World Cup place

Ghana reach next year's World Cup with an emphatic 7-3 aggregate victory over Egypt in their qualifying playoff.

Ghana have secured their place at next year's World Cup with an emphatic 7-3 aggregate victory over Egypt in their qualifying playoff.

The Black Stars won the first leg 6-1 in Kumasi last month before losing 2-1 in Cairo on Tuesday.

It is the third consecutive year that the team have made it through to the tournament proper following appearances in 2006 and 2010.

Ghana reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa before losing to Uruguay.
