Joachim Low has said that Germany's 3-2 victory over Scotland was "anything but easy".
Scotland twice came from behind before Ilkay Gundogan scored a 54th-minute winner.
"It was anything but easy, especially as Scotland were putting a lot of men behind the ball, looking for dead-ball opportunities in front of our box and playing long balls," Low told reporters.
"We largely controlled the game and didn't allow them any chances in open play. I wasn't worried by the Scottish attacks.
"I think it's normal for the crowd to shout and cheer. It's a David v Goliath kind of play but we didn't give them much of a chance."
Scotland now need to beat Poland and Gibraltar, and hope that Republic of Ireland do not win either of their final two matches to earn a place in the playoff.
