Fulham have reportedly submitted an €8m (£6.8m) bid for Stuttgart attacker Silas.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a positive end to the Bundesliga season, coming off the bench to score in two of Stuttgart's final three fixtures.
Those strikes helped Stuttgart climb above Bayern Munich and secure a second-placed finish – the club's best position since winning the title in 2006-07.
However, Silas will look back on the campaign with some disappointment after being restricted to a bench role for large periods of the season.
Silas had to settle for eight starts in 27 top-flight appearances, with Sebastian Hoeness preferring to use the likes of Jamie Leweling and Chris Fuhrich.

Fulham table Silas bid
The winger remained at the MHP Arena for the second half of the season after Fulham allegedly failed with a bid in the winter transfer window.
That setback has not deterred the Premier League side, who still appear to be keen to sign the DR Congo international.
According to Caught Offside, Fulham have renewed their interest with a €8m (£6.8m) offer to recruit Silas ahead of the 2024-25 season.
The report claims that the Cottagers may have to increase their proposal, with Stuttgart looking for a fee in the region of €16m (£13.6m).
Stuttgart are understood to be open to selling Silas and have already begun the search for a potential replacement.

Fulham looking to strengthen in key areas
After having to settle for a 13th-placed finish, Marco Silva is looking to improve his squad over the summer months.
They are seemingly keen to bring in attacking reinforcements, with uncertainty surrounding the future of veteran winger Willian.
The Brazilian is out of contract at the end of June and reportedly has offers on the table to complete a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Although Fulham want to retain Willian's services, it remains to be seen whether he will put pen to paper on a new one-year deal.
As well as strengthening their wide options, Fulham will need to bring in a new defender to replace out-going centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo.
The former Manchester City man is likely to move to Newcastle United when his Fulham deal runs out at the end of June.
