Aberdeen have booked their spot in the second qualifying round of the Europa League despite losing 1-0 to Fola Esch in the second leg of their first qualifying round clash on Thursday night.
Last week, Northern Ireland striker Niall McGinn, fresh from representing his country at Euro 2016, was among the goals during what was a comfortable first leg for the Scottish outfit.
Fola Esch recorded a 1-0 victory in the return courtesy of a strike from Moroccan forward Samir Hadji on the stroke of half time, but Aberdeen held on to win 3-2 on aggregate and continue their bid to make the group stages.
The home side had 19 attempts during what was an impressive performance, while Aberdeen only hit the target on three occasions as the likes of Adam Rooney and Jayden Stockley struggled in the final third of the field.
