Giuseppe Rossi has returned to first-team training with Fiorentina following three months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.
The former Manchester United forward has been out of action since suffering ligament damage in a Serie A clash with Livorno at the start of 2014.
However, the Italian international came through a full training session on Tuesday morning and is expected to play a part for his side before the end of the season.
Rossi is also expected to be named in the Italy squad for the World Cup this summer should he prove his fitness before the end of the campaign.
The 27-year-old has scored 15 times in 20 games for Fiorentina this season.
