Feyenoord see off FC Twente

Feyenoord cruise to a 3-1 win against FC Twente in Sunday afternoon's Eredivisie clash at De Kuip.

Feyenoord have cruised to a 3-1 win against FC Twente in this afternoon's Eredivisie clash at De Kuip.

The hosts missed a great chance to take the lead in the 36th minute when Colin Kazim-Richards's penalty was saved by Sonny Stevens.

This mattered little, however, because just a minute later they found themselves ahead, Lex Immers firing the ball low into the corner of the net.

Orlando Engelaar equalised for Twente six minutes after the restart with a tap-in from close range, but the home side were back in front when Jens Toornstra fired a rebound home after Karim El Ahmadi's initial effort was saved.

And the game was put to bed when Feyenoord scored their third goal three minutes later, Kazim-Richards setting up Jean-Paul Boetius, who finished the move off.
