Everton are reportedly launching a late move to sign free agent Andre Ayew, who recently left Qatari club Al-Sadd.

Everton are reportedly in talks to sign Andre Ayew on a free transfer.

After appointing Sean Dyche as the club's new manager, Everton have been looking to strengthen their squad ahead of today's 11pm deadline.

The Toffees reportedly failed in their attempts to sign Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, while they are believed to be making a late move for Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo.

They have also been keen to strengthen in the final third, and they have been linked with the likes of Fenerbahce's Michy Batshuayi and Everton's Michail Antonio, but no transfer has materialised.

However, according to The Independent, they are currently in advanced talks to sign Andre Ayew, who is currently a free agent.

Ayew recently left Qatari side Al-Sadd after scoring 22 goals and providing three assists in 39 appearances for the club.

The 33-year-old, who has previously played in the Premier League for Swansea City and West Ham United, is comfortable playing on both flanks or as a central striker.

Although Everton will be keen to get a deal over the line, they will be able to complete the signing after today's 11pm deadline due to Ayew's current status as a free agent.
