Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is being linked with the Saudi Pro League, allegedly has no plans to leave the Red Devils this summer.

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana allegedly has no plans to leave the Red Devils this summer amid suggestions that he could be offered the opportunity to make the move to the Saudi Pro League.

Onana, 28, has made 40 appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2024-25 campaign, conceding 53 times and only managing to keep nine clean sheets in the process.

The Cameroonian has had some outstanding matches for the Red Devils since his arrival from Inter Milan in 2023, but he has made a number of high-profile mistakes.

Onana has only managed to keep 22 clean sheets in his 91 appearances for Man United, conceding 136 times, and there is currently a host of speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford.

There is believed to be strong interest from the Saudi Pro League, with a recent report claiming that Man United were hopeful of offloading the goalkeeper for a sizeable transfer fee during the summer market.

Onana 'has no plans to leave Man United'

However, according to ESPN, Onana is intending to remain with the Red Devils this summer.

The report claims that the Cameroonian would need to be actively told by Man United that he was not in their plans in order for a summer transfer to become a possibility.

There is currently huge uncertainty when it comes to the goalkeeping department at Old Trafford, especially with Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton both being on the sidelines in recent weeks.

Heaton is out of contract this summer and is set to leave on a free transfer, while Bayindir is thought to be keen to become a number one elsewhere, so there could be a goalkeeping revamp at the end of the campaign.

Neither Heaton nor Bayindir have been available since the middle of February, with academy goalkeepers therefore required to provide the back-up to Onana during a crucial stage of the campaign.

Man United are planning a summer clear-out

Four players are set to leave Man United on free transfers this summer, with Victor Lindelof, Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Heaton unlikely to be offered new deals by the Red Devils.

Aston Villa have the option to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent basis for £40m, while Antony and Jadon Sancho - on loan at Real Betis and Chelsea respectively - are also set to move on alongside Tyrell Malacia, who is currently representing PSV Eindhoven.

Man United would also like to shift Casemiro due to his astronomical wages, and it is not impossible to imagine the Brazilian leaving, especially considering his recent improved form, which would have attracted more potential suitors.

Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are also being linked with big-money departures, and one of those could potentially be sold this summer to provide the 20-time English champions with a much-needed financial boost.
