Team News: Everton unchanged against Aston Villa

Everton manager Roberto Martinez names an unchanged side for the visit of Aston Villa to Goodison Park.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has named an unchanged side for the visit of Aston Villa to Goodison Park.

Former Villa captain Gareth Barry skippers the Toffees against his former club, while Tom Cleverley, who spent last season on loan at Villa Park, is fit enough only for a place as a substitute.

Brendan Galloway has shaken off a muscle knock to keep his place at left-back, and Romelu Lukaku continues to partner Arouna Kone up front.

For Villa, there are three changes as Kieran Richardson comes in at left-back to replace Jordan Amavi after the latter's season-ending injury.

Jack Grealish and Ashley Westwood are also recalled to the side in place of Scott Sinclair and Carlos Sanchez, while there is again a place on the bench for previously ostracised winger Charles N'Zogbia.

Everton: Howard; Coleman, Mori, Stones, Galloway; Barry, McCarthy, Deulofeu, Barkley; Kone, Lukaku
Subs: Roles, Gibson, Mirallas, Naismith, Osman, Cleverley, Lennon

Aston Villa: Guzan; Hutton, Richards, Clark, Richardson; Gana, Westwood, Veretout; Gil, Grealish, Ayew
Subs: Bunn, Bacuna, Sinclair, Lescott, Sanchez, N'Zogbia, Gestede
