Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed Romelu Lukaku after the striker helped the Toffees secure their first win of the Premier League season.
Lukaku's early goal, along with a Kevin Mirallas strike, gave Everton a 2-0 victory over Alan Irvine's winless West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.
Following the game, Martinez told Sky Sports: "Romelu has everything you want in a striker, and is only a young man.
"It was vital today that we had the defensive side of things right, as well as the attacking side which we've had.
"I sympathise with Alan given that he has so many new players. But they played really well. I was impressed with them."
Everton entertain Wolfsburg in the Europa League on Thursday.
