Everton's Ross Barkley injury doubt for Norwich City clash

Roberto Martinez reveals that Ross Barkley is a doubt for this weekend's match against Norwich City due to a knock that he suffered against QPR.

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is a doubt for this weekend's Premier League match against Norwich City due to injury.

The England Under-21 international has launched into the spotlight under manager Roberto Martinez this season, prompting suggestions of an England World Cup place for the 20-year-old.

However, Martinez has confirmed in a press conference this morning that Barkley will need to be assessed before Saturday's match due to a knock that he picked up against Queens Park Rangers last weekend.

Barkley scored in Everton's 4-0 win over QPR, helping the Toffees move into the fourth round of the FA Cup.
