Everton boss Sam Allardyce says that he was satisfied with his side's 1-1 draw with Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Everton boss Sam Allardyce has suggested that he was pleased with his side's performance in the 1-1 draw at Swansea City.

The Toffees went ahead at the Liberty Stadium through an own goal from Kyle Naughton before Jordan Ayew's equaliser during the second half earned the home side a share of the spoils.

Everton are now without a win in three matches in the top flight, but Allardyce has indicated that he will take the positives from the fixture in South Wales.

The 63-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "We've come here and got the lead and dug out a point. It was a battling point, no doubt. There are teams fighting at the bottom and Swansea showed a lot spirit.

"We held our own and it could have been a different story. I'm sure Swansea are saying they should have won it and perhaps they should but our keeper takes some beating."

Everton remain in ninth place in the standings.
