Darron Gibson, Leon Osman likely to start for Everton in Reading tie

Everton boss Roberto Martinez reveals that Darron Gibson and Leon Osman are likely to start tomorrow's Capital One Cup tie against Reading.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hinted that Darron Gibson and Leon Osman will start against Reading in tomorrow's Capital One Cup tie at the Madejski Stadium.

Gibson made headlines away from the pitch after pleading guilty to a drunken hit and run, involving a cyclist, last month.

On the field though, the Irish midfielder is ready for action, as is Osman, while Seamus Coleman will be given a late fitness test following a hamstring injury.

"Darron Gibson is fully fit and has been working with the group and, with Leon Osman, has been stepping up his fitness programme and that is very, very good news," Martinez told reporters.

"I am very, very excited about Leon Osman and Darron Gibson who have had disappointing starts to the season with niggles and injuries and I'm really excited about those two joining the squad."

Martinez will also make a late call on Bryan Oviedo.
