A late Nadir Cifti winner helped Dundee United progress to the Scottish League Cup final with a 2-1 win over Aberdeen.
West Bromwich Albion loanee Donervon Daniels had scored on his debut for Aberdeen to give the Dons a lead that was cancelled out by Callum Morris.
A long throw from Andrew Considine was well controlled by Daniels, who then flicked the ball into the net from a tough angle in the 49th minute.
The first half was a turgid affair, with a Stuart Armstrong effort which deflected onto the bar the closest that either side came to adding to the scores.
Morris then equalised for United halfway through the second period, getting on the end of a Gary Mackay-Steven corner to power a header past Radoslaw Cierzniak.
The Dons continued to push forward and Adam Rooney had a goal disallowed for a foul in the build-up before Ryan Jack had a shot tipped over the bar.
It was United who got the winner though in the 84th minute, with Cifti heading past Jamie Langfield to find the net and set up a final against either Rangers or Celtic.
