Derby County have edged closer to agreeing a deal with Leicester City for striker Tom Lawrence, according to reports.
The 23-year-old has been on the radar of a number of sides this summer after scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances on loan at Ipswich Town last season.
Derby reportedly saw a bid of £7m rejected by the Foxes earlier in August, but according to Sky Sports News, a similar offer has now been accepted by Leicester.
The report goes on to claim that Derby also have other strikers on their target list, butthat there are still a number of hurdles to cross before any deal can be completed.
Premier League newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion have also been credited with an interest in Lawrence, who is now into the last 12 months of his King Power Stadium deal.
