Derby County manager Nigel Clough has praised the impact that Steve Davies has had on his side since his return from injury.

Marking his comeback from a fractured skull, Davies scored one goal and created another as the Rams fought back from two goals down away at Birmingham City earlier today to claim a point.

"It was great to see him back in action," Clough told reporters after the break. "We took our time with him and it was good to see him score such a good goal.

"He has taken his time as he has had some injures over the last four years. But he does bounce back and he does get goals as he proved against Birmingham."

Davies joined County in 2008 from Tranmere Rovers.
