Tomas Rosicky returns to training

Tomas Rosicky is hopeful that he will recover from an Achilles injury to captain the Czech Republic against Portugal tomorrow.

Tomas Rosicky has revealed that he is hopeful of being fit for the Czech Republic's quarter-final clash against Portugal tomorrow evening.

The skipper was forced to miss his side's final group game against co-hosts Poland with an Achilles injury.

His participation at the tournament was then thrown into further down when he returned to Prague for further treatment on the complaint.

However, having completed a training session earlier today, the Arsenal midfielder has revealed that his chances of featuring against the Portuguese have increased.

"After training the chance of me starting tomorrow is bigger," he told a press conference.

"I have trained today but we will have to see tomorrow if I am able to play. We will decide on how the injury reacts."

Should Rosicky fail to make the starting lineup, his place in the side is expected to be given to Daniel Kolar.
