Tomas Rosicky may miss Czech Republic's Euro 2012 quarter-final match with Portugal after suffering an Achilles injury.

Czech Republic captain Tomas Rosicky is a major injury doubt for his country's Euro 2012 quarter-final meeting with Portugal on Thursday.

The Arsenal midfielder was absent from the Czech's 1-0 victory over co-hosts Poland, which secured their passage into the last eight as Group A winners.

An inflamed Achilles may also result in the 31-year-old missing the match with Portugal, according to team manager Vladimir Smicer.

"Will he be able to play from the start? I don't think so," Smicer told the CTK agency.

"He hasn't trained for eight days, he's only been able to do some work on the bike.

"In order for him to play in such a tough match; he should at the very least have had three full training sessions in order to be 100 percent ready."

Rosicky has been capped 90 times by the Czech Republic since debuting in 2000.
