Crystal Palace will reportedly register a formal £1.75m offer with West Bromwich Albion for Peter Odemwingie this week.
Eagles boss Ian Holloway has the Nigerian forward as a transfer target, as he looks to build a squad capable of achieving Premier League survival.
Following extensive negotiations between the two clubs, Palace will make a concrete offer in the next 24 hours, according to The Telegraph.
Odemwingie has been told not to report for West Brom's pre-season tour of Austria in the hope of forcing a move through, but the Baggies are believed to want £2m for the unsettled striker.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a string of English clubs this summer, including Queens Park Rangers, Hull City, Sunderland and Fulham.
