Neil Warnock: 'Half the Premier League are fighting relegation'

Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock believes that 12 clubs are fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has claimed that as many as 12 clubs are fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Eagles are two points clear of the drop zone in 15th place following their 3-1 victory over Liverpool at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

As it stands, just nine points separate the relegation zone with fourth-placed Manchester United.

"There are 10 to 12 clubs scrambling around at the bottom [against relegation]," Warnock told talkSPORT.

"Everyone is the same, it's not an easy time of the year though the January transfer window."

Palace travel to face Swansea City on Saturday.
