Tony Pulis to discuss Crystal Palace future this week

Speaking after watching his side launch a remarkable comeback to draw 3-3 with Liverpool, Tony Pulis reveals that talks over his Crystal Palace future are scheduled for this week.

Tony Pulis watched his Crystal Palace side launch a staggering comeback against Liverpool on Monday night and then revealed that he is scheduled to have talks this week to see how he can take the club forward.

The Welshman has taken Palace from the bottom of the table to Premier League safety since taking charge earlier this season, with a 3-3 draw against the Reds at Selhurst Park consolidating their 11th-place position.

However, his success with the Eagles has resulted in admiring glances from those top-flight clubs who are considering managerial changes in the summer, and Pulis has admitted that his future is uncertain.

He did suggest, though, that he would like to stay with Palace, should chairman Steve Parish promise him the resources needed to take the club to the next level, as was the case during his Stoke City tenure.

"I don't know, I haven't heard anything else," he told Sky Sports News. "We're having a chat on Wednesday or Thursday me and Steve and just have a night together where we can sit down and talk about everything.

"The club is a smashing club, it's got fantastic support and fantastic potential, but it's a way behind what it should be. But that was the same situation at Stoke.

"I had a magnificent chairman there in Peter Coates who backed me and allowed me to build the football club up for seven, eight years. That's what you want, the backing and let people do your job. You get paid to do your job, and I enjoy doing this job."

Pulis signed a two-year contract with Palace after agreeing to succeed Ian Holloway in November.
