Crewe Alexandra have signed striker Febian Brandy from Rotherham United on a one-month loan.
Brandy, who previously made only one substitute appearance for the Millers this season, makes the step down to League One from the Championship in hope of more first-team football.
Rotherham's head coach Steve Evans still thinks that Brandy has a future at the New York Stadium but realises the forward needs minutes under his belt.
"After a number of enquiries from managers in League One I can confirm that Febian Brandy has joined Crewe Alexandra for one month on loan," Evans told Rotherham's official website.
"I would like to make it clear that in my opinion this young man still has a bright future at New York Stadium but it is very clear that he now needs a run of matches at first-team level, that will in turn prepare him for the demands of the Championship."
Brandy will be available for Crewe's trip to MK Dons this weekend.
