Chile forward Alexis Sanchez has expressed his satisfaction at the team's 3-1 victory over Australia at the World Cup.
The South Americans got off to a winning start on Friday as goals from Sanchez, Jorge Valdivia and Jean Beausejour helped them claim the three points.
While admitting that he and his teammates let their level drop as the match went on, Sanchez is happy with the overall performance of the side.
"Maybe we relaxed a bit too early, although we never gave up and kept attacking," he told FIFA.com. "We gave a 100% in hot weather, and the prize is a satisfying victory. I want to dedicate it to the people who came here to support us."
Chile's World Cup campaign resumes on Wednesday when they play reigning champions Spain.
