West Ham United confirm that midfielder Yossi Benayoun has permanently returned to Chelsea following the end of his loan spell at Upton Park.

West Ham United have announced that they have no intentions to sign midfielder Yossi Benayoun on a permanent basis.

The Hammers acquired the services of the former Liverpool player from Chelsea in the summer but the London outfit have revealed that Benayoun has moved back to Stamford Bridge.

The club announced on their official Twitter page: "West Ham United can confirm that the loan of @YossiBenayoun15 has ended and he has returned to @chelseafc."

Benayoun made just six appearances for the former Championship club and picked up an injury setback during training in mid-December.
