Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a swoop for Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix.
The former Sochaux man established himself as a key player in the Wolfe defence during the 2020-21 campaign, making 30 Bundesliga appearances as his side secured qualification for the Champions League.
Lacroix's performances have not gone unnoticed from clubs across the continent, as Chelsea have previously been linked with a move for the former France Under-20 international.
Now, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has told the Here We Go Podcast that Tottenham are now targeting a move for Lacroix as Nuno Espirito Santo and Fabio Paratici get to work on potential incomings.
Spurs could potentially be waving goodbye to Toby Alderweireld this summer, but they are also said to be making progress in their efforts to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu after agreeing personal terms with the Bologna man.
Lacroix is contracted to Wolfsburg until 2024, and he also made three appearances in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League last term.
