Barcelona are planning a £30m bid for Chelsea's David Luiz, but will reportedly have to raise that offer before the Blues consider selling their flamboyant defender.
The Catalan giants have already recruited Brazilian star Neymar this transfer window and will conclude their summer business following the signing of a centre-back.
They are looking for a long-term replacement for ageing captain Carles Puyol and see Luiz as the perfect partner for Gerard Pique, according to the Daily Mail.
It has been suggested that recently-reappointed Blues boss Jose Mourinho is unsure of Luiz's defensive capabilities and would be willing to sell the former Benfica man if an acceptable offer is lodged.
According to the same source, Luiz is thought to be very happy at Chelsea but would likely leave for Barcelona, where he would be given more freedom to bring the ball out of defence.
