Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Real Madrid.
The Blues signed Alonso from Fiorentina in August 2016 and the Spaniard has gone on to become a key part of the first-team squad, scoring 13 goals in 69 appearances in all competitions.
Alonso still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his existing deal but according to Mundo Deportivo, Real are consdering a move for the 27-year-old.
The Spaniard began his career at the Bernabeu, although his only outing for Real came as an 89th-minute substitute in a La Liga fixture with Racing Santander in April 2010.
Marcelo is currently regarded as Zinedine Zidane's first-choice left-back and unless the Brazilian departs the club, Alonso would likely find himself as backup should he return to his homeland.
