Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis to return to Atletico Madrid?

Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis could complete a return to former club Atletico Madrid in the coming days, according to a report in the press.

Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis is reportedly close to making a return to his former club Atletico Madrid.

The Blues brought Luis to Stamford Bridge last summer for a fee thought to be in the region of £15.8m, but after struggling to adapt to life in England it appears that his old club are prepared to give the Brazilian defender a route back into La Liga.

According to The Mirror, Diego Simeone's side could wrap up a deal for the 29-year-old in the next few days as they look to build for the coming campaign.

Luis made 15 appearances for Chelsea last season.
