Liverpool will reportedly add to their squad this summer by triggering the release clause of Porto full-back Alex Telles.

Liverpool will reportedly add to their squad this summer by triggering the release clause of Porto full-back Alex Telles.

The Reds and Chelsea have previously been linked with a move for the 25-year-old, as both clubs allegedly look to add options to their squad at left-back.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, however, Liverpool will move ahead with the transfer by offering the £35m needed to trigger Telles's release clause.

The source says that Telles would not turn down a move to Anfield if the bid were tabled, despite Porto already losing full-backs Diogo Dalot and Ricardo Pereira to Manchester United and Leicester City respectively.

Telles, whose current deal with Porto runs until 2021, provided 13 assists in 30 league appearances last season.
