Report: Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel ponders Chinese move

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is reportedly pondering a summer move to the Chinese Super League.

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has reportedly considered moving to the Chinese Super League at the end of the season.

Mikel's current contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of next season and the club are said to be willing to offer the Nigerian a contract extension.

However, according to the Evening Standard, at least three teams are looking into the possibility of buying Mikel, including Jiangsu and Shanghai SIPG.

Should Mikel, 28, decide to head east then he would join former Blues teammate Ramires in the Chinese Super League.

Mikel is currently Chelsea's second-longest serving player behind captain John Terry.
