Chelsea's Islam Feruz joins Blackpool on loan

Young Chelsea striker Islam Feruz has completed a youth loan move to Championship strugglers Blackpool.

The 18-year-old, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Greek outfit OFI Crete, will join up with Lee Clark's side until the end of the season.

"Islam is a very talented player with the potential to excite the fans," Clark told the club's official website.

"He'll offer something different to us going forward and I'm pleased that Chelsea have allowed us to complete this deal."

Feruz, who was born in Somalia but raised in Scotland, joined Chelsea from Celtic in 2011, and was part of the Blues' FA Youth Cup and Barclays Under-21 Premier League teams.
