Chelsea have reportedly identified AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli as a possible transfer target for the summer window.
Romagnoli has established himself as one of the best defenders in Serie A, with the 23-year-old having spells at Roma and Sampdoria before impressing at San Siro.
The Italian international has played a key role in Milan's recent return to form but according to Leggo, Gennaro Gattuso faces a battle to keep the player at the club.
Chelsea have previously held an interest in Romagnoli and it appears that Antonio Conte would like to bring his compatriot to Stamford Bridge should he remain with the Blues.
Romagnoli - who has netted five goals in 98 appearances for Milan - still has over two years remaining on his contract.
