Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea.
Since helping Nice finish in third place in the Ligue 1 table last season, Seri has been linked with a move to the likes of Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
With Seri having just 18 months remaining on his contract, Nice are in a position where they must consider the sale of one of their key men and according to The Sun, Chelsea are keen on signing the Ivory Coast international.
Ross Barkley has already arrived from Everton since the start of 2018, but head coach Antonio Conte is continuing his pursuit of fresh faces before the end of the month.
Chelsea are well stocked in midfield, but the West Londoners may take advantage of Seri's release clause standing at just £35m.
Despite impressing during the last campaign, Seri has netted just once in 25 appearances this season.
