Chelsea interested in Gareth Bale?

Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Gareth Bale should Real Madrid decide to sell him at the end of the season.

Chelsea will reportedly battle with Manchester City and Manchester United in a bid to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League during this summer's transfer window.

The Wales international became the world's most expensive player when he moved to Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013, but speculation has been mounting in the Spanish media that the La Liga side are willing to let the forward leave.

According to the Daily Mail, the European champions would let Bale depart in order to make a move to Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus, with Chelsea currently leading the race the sign him.

Bale, who has a £75m release clause in his contract, has scored 17 goals in 43 appearances for Madrid so far this season.
