Chelsea agree a £7m fee with Bolton for centre-back Gary Cahill, according to reports.

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Bolton for centre-back Gary Cahill, reports suggest.

The Blues have had an offer of £7m accepted by the struggling northern club, according to The Mirror.

Bolton will allow Cahill to discuss personal terms with Chelsea after the Christmas period for a January move.

The 26-year-old, who made his England debut earlier this year, is out of contract with Bolton at the end of this season.

Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran, who was touted to have been part of a swap deal for Cahill, will not be moving to Bolton as Owen Coyle already has Gael Kakuta from Stamford Bridge on a short-term loan.

Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League with 32 points from 16 games.
