AC Milan are exploring the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Fernando Torres on loan in the event that their bid to recruit Carlos Tevez fails, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Rossoneri are hoping to boost their attacking options during the January transfer window and had made Manchester City's Tevez their main target.
However, the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement, as City wish to sell the Argentine while Milan are interested in a temporary deal.
That could pave the way for a switch for Torres, who has reportedly been made available for loan by Chelsea.
The 27-year-old, who joined the Blues for £50m from Liverpool in January, has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
