Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has remained quiet over speculation linking Chelsea striker Fernando Torres with a return to Anfield.
Reports have recently suggested that the Spaniard could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge for a cut price.
The 27-year-old has scored only three goals in 25 games since his £50m move to Stamford Bridge in January.
"We will not speculate on anybody, whether they are our players or anybody else's players," said Dalglish. "It does not matter what is said, there will always be speculation, and we will not be there to answer every question.
"We will do our business where we have been brought up to do our business, which is in private and behind closed doors."
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas said on Thursday that the forward would not be sold at any price.
