Willian has admitted that he must score more goals if he is to be a key member of the Chelsea team this season.
The Brazilian was forced to start Monday's 3-1 victory over Burnley on the bench, and he believes that adding a clinical edge to his game in the final third of the pitch will allow him to edge out his rivals for a spot in the side.
Eden Hazard, Oscar and Andre Schurrle were picked to provide support for Diego Costa, despite Jose Mourinho choosing to use Willian regularly last season.
"I think I have to score more goals, to play better and just be better," the 26-year-old told members of the media. "Last season I did good, not bad, but I want more."
Willian scored four goals in 42 appearances in all competitions last season.
