Head coach Thomas Tuchel has claimed that Chelsea were denied an obvious penalty during their 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Blues were on the brink of sealing a narrow win courtesy of a Romelu Lukaku header before Danny Welbeck powered one of his own into the bottom corner in the final minute.
While Brighton were full value for their point at Stamford Bridge, Tuchel feels that the West Londoners should have been awarded a spot kick earlier in the second half when Christian Pulisic was felled inside the box.
Despite replays showing contact, the referee deemed that the American went to ground too easily, something which Tuchel described as "a joke".
Speaking to Amazon Prime, Tuchel said: "We have a horrible decision for a penalty from the referee for 2-0. It wasn't even checked. Everything against us.
"We had huge, huge chances. Normally I would never say it but we have a 100% penalty against Pulisic, the 50-50 for Mason Mount to make it 2-0. Why does he need to blow before the ball goes in? How is he so sure? The penalty is a joke, honestly a joke."
Chelsea now sit eight points adrift of Manchester City after the Premier League leaders edged out Brentford by a 1-0 scoreline.
